How To Ditch Store Bought Cream Cheese And Make It At Home
This 3 ingredient cream cheese recipe
3 cups full cream milk, 1 tsp vanilla essence, 1 pinch salt, 3 tbsp lemon juice and 2 1/2 cups cold fresh cream.
To begin with the simple cream cheese recipe, take a pan and pour full cream milk and allow it to boil, reduce the flame and add lemon juice.
Once the milk starts crumbling, strain it through a muslin cloth.
Run this chena through some cold water, squeeze out the water and allow the chena to turn thick. Place a heavy vessel over it.
Take a blender and add this chena along with 2 ½ cups of fresh cream. Make a creamy mixture.
Adjust the taste of the cream cheese as per your requirements, if you are using it for a dessert, add vanilla essence and sugar, blend it 2 -3 times to get that thick creamy texture.
If you are using it for a savoury dish you can add salt, herbs and spices.
Take it out and keep it in an airtight container. You can store it up in a refrigerator for 3-4 days.
